Every new American West home is built as an eHome with many energy-efficient features that allows your new home to be an energy saver home. These features allow us to reduce our carbon footprint and save our homeowners money.
As a local builder, it is important to us to design energy-efficient homes that fit the needs of our specific southwest climate and not just one that was designed on a national level. We live in a city where we experience both hot and cold temperatures. Our eHome features and building materials have been specifically chosen for the Las Vegas climate.
Some of the Energy Conservation features in our homes are as follows:
Vinyl Framed Dual-paned Low-E Windows & Sliding Glass Doors
These windows and sliding glass doors help reduce energy usage in hot and cold temperatures. They also insulate the home against outside noise, giving you more peace and quiet. Helping keep the temperature inside your home comfortably consistent all year-round and preventing sunlight exposure are other benefits.
Fully Insulated Fiberglass Front Door
The entry door to your home was carefully chosen, not just for looks, but for its impact on your life. The materials help limit heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter. In addition, they utilize post-industrial wood chips and recycled materials to help lessen their impact on the environment.
14 SEER Air Conditioning
The 14 SEER Air Conditioning in your new home exceeds the National Standard for energy-efficiency. This advance system also utilizes ozone layer-friendly, environmentally sound Puron® refrigerant, which helps protect the air you breath and limits the amount of greenhouse gas released in the air.
Energy-efficient Radiant-Barrier Roof Sheathing
This advanced energy saving material minimizes the heat gain in the summer and reduces energy usage in the winter. This unique feature can only be found in some new homes.
ENERGY STAR© Appliances
These industry-leading super-efficient appliances help you conserve energy and money while doing everyday tasks.
Self-clean Natural Gas Range/Oven
A gas range/oven has lower heat emissions than an electric range. The gas flame immediately ignites and grows larger or smaller with a turn of a dial. The gas flame and heat it emits also immediately disappears when turned off which is also a great safety feature. A gas cooktop will lower your electricity bill. Rates for natural gas tend to be lower than the rates for electricity which saves you money.
