American West Introduces Two New Home Collections in Highlands Ranch

American West is celebrating the grand opening of two new home collections in their Highlands Ranch neighborhood, the Highlands Collection and Stonebridge. Located in the valley’s growing southwest, Highlands Ranch is home to some of Las Vegas’ newest shopping centers, restaurants, parks and schools.

“Highlands Ranch is a beautiful community nestled in the heart of one of southern Nevada’s most popular new areas. There is an abundance of new shopping and dining choices and great state-of-the-art schools,” said Kevin Amico, American West Sales Consultant. “Homeowners enjoy all the benefits of master-plan living without the fees associated with master-plans.”

The Stonebridge home collection in Highlands Ranch offer tremendous square-footage, quality construction and American West’s signature architectural details.  The two-story homes offer the perfect blend of luxury and style. The homes range from 3,103 to 4,037 square feet with up to 5 bedrooms and all the homes feature a 3-car garage.

“Stonebridge offers all unique floor plans with three-car garages and pool-sized lots,” said Shasta Raintree, American West Sales Consultant. “Homebuyers are amazed by our open floor plans. We have gourmet kitchens with huge dining islands. The islands can fit up to six people. The family rooms flow from the gourmet kitchens providing homebuyers with plenty of space for all their entertaining needs. The storage space in these homes are a dream come true.”

Each of the floorplans at Stonebridge feature both formal and casual living space. The Super Laundry space provides homebuyers with a counter perfect for folding the clothes and a sink. Options within Stonebridge include: guest suites, second master suites, additional bathrooms and the popular double refrigerator option which provides as much space as a sub zero refrigerator but at a much more affordable price. Homes at Stonebridge start at $311,500.

Highlands Collection features two- and three-story homes ranging from 1,839 to 2,995 square feet with up to 5 bedrooms. The new home designs represent a new generation of American West homes.

“These homes are popular because they fit the needs of a variety of homebuyers”, said Amico.  “From newlyweds looking to grow their family to extended or multi-generational families, our floor plans offer the flexibility and space American West is known for. And, best of all, our high-quality construction is offered at affordable prices,” said Amico. Homes at Highlands Collection start at $211,500.

The Highlands Collection includes the Emerald floor plan with BRAG space. The BRAG Space is a new, innovative design unique to American West. The feature offers homebuyers additional living space in their new home. The standard BRAG Space features an enormous bonus room. Options for the BRAG Space include a guest master suite with a bonus room or two additional bedrooms with a study.

All American West homes feature gourmet kitchens, upgraded standard features and the ability of homebuyers to not only choose a home site, but also how their home is built on the site.

“You’ll find details in our homes that are considered upgrades with other homebuilders,” said Amico. “Our gourmet kitchens come with spacious islands with pendant lighting. Both our kitchens and bathrooms feature Moen faucets with coordinating accessories and light fixtures. Our customized cabinetry comes with stylish knobs and handles. Our staircases have sculptured stair railings and wrought iron wall railings. The list goes on.”

In addition, all American West homes are built to NV Energy Plus standards. “As a local builder, it was important to us to find an energy program that fit the needs of our specific climate and not one that was designed on a national level”, said Larry Canarelli company founder. “We have chosen to be a part of the NV Energy Plus program because their specifications and guidelines were developed for the homes built in Southern Nevada. This program understands better than any other the unique temperatures we experience in Las Vegas.”

American West’s energy-saving features come standard and include: 14-SEER air conditioning units; energy-efficient radiant roof sheathing; vinyl-framed dual-paned low-e windows and sliding doors; fully insulated front doors; protective house wrap that shields your home against air and moisture infiltration; superior R-13 insulation in walls and R-30 in ceilings; and water-conserving faucets and showerheads.

eHome by American West

We’ve had a hot week here in Las Vegas. There has also been some humidity in the air which makes a huge difference in the heat. Anybody who has ever heard the expression “yes, it’s hot in Las Vegas but it’s a dry heat” may think that we are out of our minds but trust me when is it 111 degrees and there is moisture in the air, it is much more difficult to deal with than 111 degrees with no moisture in the air. Either way,  hot is hot and it is important to stay cool during these high temperatures.

If you live in Las Vegas, you know how incredibly high your energy bill can get in the summer months. New homes today are built with energy-efficiency in mind and each American West home is an eHome and built with the certification of NV Energy Plus. As a local builder, it was important to us to find an energy program that fit the needs of our specific climate and not one that was designed on a national level. We have chosen to be a part of the NV Energy Plus program because their specifications and guidelines were developed for the homes built in Southern Nevada. This program understands better than any other the unique temperatures we experience in Las Vegas. The NV Energy Plus criteria is focused on energy efficiency in a southwest desert climate, reducing our carbon footprint and of course energy savings.
